Daffodils
Narcissus
Narcissi, the yellow variety of which is also known as daffodils, are not demanding charges. Blooming from late March to May, daffodils are associated with the spring breeze of youth and re-blooming after a long, flower-unfriendly winter. Yellow daffodils usually appear at Easter, blooming from a perennial bulb - their cheerful yellow heads, shaking in the light breezes of the spring wind, are immediately striking. Daffodils are fond of full sun, humus, permeable and moist soil, so we don't have to limit ourselves with watering them - unless March rain precedes us. Botanists have bred more than 10 thousand varieties of daffodils, which differ not only in the appearance of flowers but also in the timing of flowering. In order for daffodils to bloom beautifully in spring - the bulbs must be planted in autumn. Daffodils contain the poisonous alkaloid lycorine - intended to repel herbivores and insect pests of plants.
