Delta maidenhair fern,
Adiantum raddianum
Adiantum, although kept in a pot, is a tropical plant. The delicate green leaves of this filigree plant would not endure the slightest drought, much less a sulfurous frost. Like any maidenhair fern, maidenhair fern likes diffused light, slightly acidic soil (pH 5.5-6.0) with high humus content and water at room temperature, because without them it will quickly wither. The root ball should be kept constantly moist. Adiantum is prized for its ethereal form, especially by florists, for which adiantum is grown extensively in tropical Brazil.
